Highlights
Evil Geniuses will be competing at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021 with two temporary players in place of Brehze and stanislaw.
Both the senior EG players have requested time away from the game to concentrate on their mental health.
They will be replaced by daps and SPELLAN on the active roster, with the complete EG lineup expected to come back together for IEM Fall 2021: North America.

Evil Geniuses has had a terrible 2021 season so far when it comes to competitive CS:GO, and it does not seem to be getting any better as both Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte have requested some time off to concentrate on their mental health. The two will not be playing for EG at the upcoming BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021, where the team's coach Damian “daps” Steele will be stepping in for stanislaw while the Bulgarian rifler Teodor “SPELLAN” Nikolov joins the active roster in place of Brehze.

The tournament scheduled to start tomorrow will witness EG take on Astralis that are themselves fielding Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth in place of Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, who has stepped away from all his responsibilities for some time in anticipation of the birth of his first child.

EG to compete at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021 with two temporary replacements

Two senior EG players Brehze and stanislaw will be absent from the team's active roster at the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021, scheduled to start tomorrow onwards.

Both of them have requested time off to focus on their respective mental health, a decision that EG respects and has agreed to while stating that,

It’s our ambition at EG to compete in and lift trophies at the biggest events in esports; however, no competitive results come before the well-being of our players. We ask our fans to join us in supporting our players in this period.
Statement from Evil Geniuses

This is the second tournament that the team's in-game leader (IGL) stanislaw will be missing out on, following his absence from the recently concluded ESL Pro League Season 14. At that point in time the Canadian had said that he would not be travelling with the team to Europe as he was not ready for international travel and competition.

He was expected to join the team for BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021 but once again stanislaw has taken the backseat, this time joined by Brehze who is also taking time away to concentrate on his mental health.

Stanislaw Statement - EG CS:GO Team

The two are being replaced by EG's coach daps and Bulgarian rifler SPELLAN, as they prepare to go against Astralis in their opening match after a disappointing run at ESL Pro League Season 14, where the team placed last with zero wins and five losses.

Evil Geniuses' CS:GO roster for BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021 is as follows,

  • Tsvetlin “CeRq” Dimitrov

  • Owen “oBo” Schlatter

  • Michał “MICHU” Müller

  • Damian “daps” Steele

  • Teodor “SPELLAN” Nikolov [Stand-In]

However, the North American organization further added that once the team was back in the country, the fans could expect to see the complete lineup in action at IEM Fall 2021 - North America.
