Xyp9x to Replace Gla1ve on Astralis CS:GO Roster for Blast Premier Fall Groups
The clutch minister will be returning to the active lineup shortly.
Astralis has officially confirmed that Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth will be replacing Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander on the team's starting lineup for BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021. This comes after Xyp9x was rested for the currently ongoing ESL Pro League Season 14, as Philip "Lucky" Ewald was introduced to the active roster to take charge of the AWPing duties. Meanwhile, gla1ve will be taking a short break from all his responsibilities as he is close to witnessing the birth of his first child.
"I really don't want to miss the experience of my first child getting born," adds gla1ve on Twitter, while stating that it was something that both Astralis and his teammates agreed to as well.

The clutch minister was last seen in action before the summer player break during IEM Cologne 2021, where Astralis bagged a 3rd-4th place finish. Since the player break, Xyp9x has not been seen in action as he was rested for the ongoing ESL Pro League Season 14, which means he will be returning to compete after a break of almost two months with BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021.
Also, with his contract with Astralis expiring at the end of the year, Xyp9x had expressed a desire to see what the future holds and is open about anything that comes his way.
While Xyp9x was preparing to come back into the active lineup once again, gla1ve was on his way out to take a short break in anticipation of his first child's birth. Earlier in March, gla1ve had broken the good news that he was about to become a father in about six months time.
Coming forward with a statement, gla1ve expressed that experiencing the birth of his first child means everything to him at this point in time. He added that Astralis requiring to change players in the middle of a tournament will only lead to confusion, so it was better for him to skip this one completely.
After crashing out of ESL Pro League Season 14 - Group Stage, Astralis will be looking for a strong comeback. It will be interesting to see how they perform against Evil Geniuses in their opening game of BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021, scheduled to take place on 16th September at 20:00 IST.
