Stanislaw Temporarily Steps Down From EG’s Active CS:GO Roster
Evil Geniuses' IGL stanislaw takes temporary leave of absence.
Evil Geniuses' in-game leader (IGL) Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz has announced a temporary leave from the organization. The Canadian professional said that he will not be travelling with the team to Europe for competing in the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 14. The decision was taken following a discussion with both the organization and his teammates, as he will be replaced by their coach Damian "daps" Steele on the active roster. Stanislaw said that rather than overextending himself mentally and physically, he will be taking some time off spending time at home "with full expectation of rejoining my team in Europe in advance of BLAST Premier Fall."
Stanislaw takes a temporary leave from EG's active CS:GO lineup
The 27-year-old has stepped down from Evil Geniuses' lineup for the upcoming ESL Pro League 14 which is scheduled to take place from 16th August to 12th September. Stanislaw explained the reason behind his temporary leave, saying that,
Following our team's long stint in Europe, along with mandatory quarantine requirements due to international travel. I've unfortunately not felt the positive impact of the player break as expected. Speaking honestly, I am not mentally ready for international travel and competition.Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz
Stanislaw being the IGL of the team is one of the most important members of the team. He is being replaced by daps on the active lineup who might act as the new shotcaller for the upcoming tournament, where EG have been placed in 'Group-C' along with Na'Vi, FaZe Clan, BIG, mousesports, and Fnatic.
Having overextended himself "mentally and physically," stanislaw said that while planning on spending this time at home, he expects to make a return once again by BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021, scheduled to take place from 16th to 26th September.
Evil Geniuses has had a bad stint of performances since the start of the 2021 competitive circuit. Their best placement this year came in the Snow Sweet Snow #3 tournament where they placed 3rd-4th.
Even in North American tournaments like cs_summit 8 their performance has been lagging heavily, as they failed to make it past the group stage of the first North American RMR tournament. Their most recent performance at the returning LAN CS:GO tournament IEM Cologne 2021 was also really poor, as they crashed out in the Play-In stage itself.
Evil Geniuses' lineup for ESL Pro League Season 14 is,
Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte
Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov
Owen "oBo" Schlatter
Michał "MICHU" Müller
Damian "daps" Steele [Stand-In]
Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz [Temporary Leave]
