D13 Esports moves to Turkey for a whole year to compete in Europe
The Mongolian organization is serious and committed to competing in Europe starting with the upcoming ESEA Premier CS:GO tournament. They will be training and staying in the resort city of Antalya in Turkey for a complete year.
D13 Esport's complete Mongolian lineup consists of the following players,
Munkhtamir "tamir" Ganbaatar - IGL
Tuvshintugs "Annihilation" Nyamdorj - AWPer
Telmen "shinobi" Batzorig - Rifler
Munkhtogtokh "xerolte" Enkhbat
Yalalt "yAmi" Oyunbileg
Enkhmanlai "worldpeace" Batbayar - Coach
This lineup has previously finished 6th out of 800 CS:GO teams at the ESEA Season 36 Open Europe, winning 14 of their 16 matches while competing with an average ping of about 110ms.
As per information provided to Esports News, D13 wanted to move to Europe in 2020 itself but due to the global health situation, they had to postpone their plans. The organization is currently travelling to Turkey without any sponsors, but are open to offers.
This year-long Turkey Bootcamp has also made D13 Esports the first team from Mongolia to have a training setup in Europe. The team already has a few direct invites in the bag for multiple mid-level European CS:GO tournaments.
Earlier D13 Esports via their official Twitter account were witnessed asking for ping from Istanbul, Turkey to European servers. They had received a response from Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli who plays for the Turkish esports organization Sangal Esports.
He explained that the ping from Istanbul to Frankfurt, Germany would be around 40ms in best case scenario and 60ms in the worst case scenario. Apart from this, a variation of +5ms could be observed when connecting to Netherland, and that of +10ms when connecting to both France and Sweden.
The CS:GO community though excited to see what D13 Esports had to bring and see them perform in Europe, were sceptical about their move to Antalya, Turkey. Their argument was countries like Romania, Serbia and Ukraine would have been a better location for training, considering both the cost and more consistent ping.
However, this is definitely exciting news for Asian Counter-Strike which has been off the international radar for far too long now.
