There were a lot of direct and indirect references to Thorin calling FalleN 'the most overrated player in the history of CS:GO'.
The most insane thing was the huge support Imperial Esports have as #GoIMP became the number two trending hashtag worldwide on Twitter.

The Brazilian CS:GO community is on top of the world as Imperial Esports aka 'The Last Dance' have avoided elimination for the second time from the Legends Stage, handing tournament favorite Cloud9 a '2-1' defeat to continue its survival.

Best part about all this was the fantastic performance showcased by Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo on the first map Overpass, scoring 35 frags to his name as the game went into triple overtime.

The epic showdown attracted lots of eyeballs as the peak viewership number crossed the million mark, with popular Brazilian streamer Alexandre "Gaules" Borba even registering a new personal record of over 707,000 peak concurrent viewers.

Many players, talents, and other community members reacted to Imperial Esports' brilliant performance, as it is now just one win away from reaching the Champions Stage.

Imperial Esports is certainly stepping up and showing why experience is a resource that is regarded so highly, maybe even more than talent, as it overcame Cloud9 to stand just one win away from reaching the Champions Stage.

FalleN top fragging on Overpass, Fernando "fer" Alvarenga continuing his sublime form, Imperial surviving a triple overtime against Cloud9, and now just one eliminator away from playing in front of a live audience, 'The Last Dance' is certainly striking above its weight class now and the community can't seem to get enough of them.

Community Appreciates Imperial's Hustle

An Imperial Esports fan after the match pointed out how Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo had helped FalleN learn and practice the jump spot pixel in 'Park' on Overpass, it can be seen here in the team's recent Vlog.

This move was used by FalleN in the match during the first overtime, staying one step ahead of Cloud9 and catching Abai "HObbit" Hasenov off guard to give Imperial man advantage early in the round.

The community really appreciated the hard work being put in by all the players of Imperial Esports even for a single-use move like this.

Zeus Thanks Thorin for Motivating FalleN

Former NAVI captain, Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko, thanked British esports journalist Duncan "Thorin" Shields for motivating FalleN. He added a throwback story to how an insult by Thorin had motivated him to beat Astralis with a 30+ frag performance, now FalleN had done something similar after being called "Most overrated player in the history of CS:GO".

Olof With the Laugh

The Swedish meme master Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson in his classic one image/GIF tweet summarized the turn of events pretty well sharing the classic 'Bad FalleN' grin.

Imperial Esports Motivates Snax

Polish CS:GO legend, Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski, seems to have gotten pumped and a bit nostalgic after watching the performance by Imperial Esports as he made a fun tweet calling out both Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas and Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski to recreate the old VP lineup.

Brazilian Fans Hails Fair Play by MareaTurbo Team

Almost 2.5 months ago Imperial Esports could have been handed a loss by default against a team called MareaTurbo in the South American - Qualifier 1, since FalleN could not connect in time due to some technical problems.

However, the opposition called for fair play and waited for Fallen to connect to the game. The opposition even won five Imperial Esports jerseys for its actions. MareaTurbo might have lost by a '16-1' score line but if it wasn't for them, Imperial may not be competing in the Legends Stage.

Rain-ing Memes

The senior FaZe Clan member celebrated the extraordinary performance by FalleN with some tongue-in-cheek humor, referencing to the recent statement made by Thorin about FalleN being the most overrated CS:GO player in history after having previously called him 'Best IGL in the World'.

Strong Community Support

#GoIMP had become the second most trending hashtag worldwide on Twitter during and after the team's match against Cloud9. Quite an insane achievement which shows the support this team has on its journey through the PGL Antwerp Major 2022.

Worldwide number 2 trending on Twitter

Imperial Esports is now just one win away from reaching the Champions Stage of the Antwerp Major, for which they will be going up against Copenhagen Flames later tonight at 23:00 IST.
