S1mple Slams Thorin for Calling FalleN "Most Overrated CS:GO Player in History"

Controversy seems to have taken center stage in the CS:GO community after British esports journalist, Duncan "Thorin" Shields, commented that legendary Brazilian player, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, was the most overrated player in the history of CS:GO.

Many fans came forward to callout Thorin for his statement including one of the best CS:GO players to ever touch the game, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, who flat out disagreed with what Thorin had to say.

When 'The Esports Historian' called s1mple a "midwit" for his opinion on the matter, the NAVI AWPer responded by saying "When I finish my career, I'll tell you what a piece of shit you really are."

The heated exchange between the two personalities has gained a lot of traction with the majority backing s1mple (that Twitter ratio speaks for itself) for standing in support of FalleN, who is a two-time Major champion and has played a significant role in putting Brazil on the map of competitive CS:GO.

The majority of the CS:GO community was in extreme disagreement with Thorin's statement regarding FalleN being the most overrated player in history, who has never been the best player on any lineup that he has been a part of.

Among many things his opinion has been called baseless, idiotic, absolute garbage, hilarious, incorrect, dumb, uneducated, and even a cry for attention in order to still stay relevant in some way possible.

However, the biggest blow was delivered by the 'GOAT of Counter-Strike' himself as s1mple spoke in support of FalleN, dismissing Thorin's opinion without sugarcoating his words.

The heavy ratio speaks volumes about who the community supports in this argument. Many other players and personalities who spoke in support of FalleN are Tarik "tarik" Celik, Charles "moistcr1tikal" White, William "RUSH" Wierzba, Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe, Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor, Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić, Richard "Xizt" Landström, Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira, and more.

Many in the community called Thorin 'two-faced' pointing out that six years ago in January 2016, Thorin had created a video titled 'Thorin's Thoughts - FalleN is the Best IGL in the World (CS:GO)' and now he was labeling the same player as the most overrated player in history.

Though no outcome was reached, Thorin did end up blocking s1mple which many found to be very unprofessional of him, especially because he was a journalist and the player he had blocked was one of the best in the game currently.

Though FalleN and his teammates were mostly quiet during the controversial ordeal, keeping their focus on the PGL Antwerp Major where they have managed to reach the Legends Stage, he did thank s1mple for all the support saying "Thanks Sasha I appreciate it. You are the GOAT and it means a lot to me."
