This event will be played offline in a studio setting in Copenhagen, Denmark from 19th to 29th January, marking a fresh start for all teams competing in this qualifier tournament where the top six qualify for Spring Final and bottom six move down to Spring Showdown.

BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023: Complete Details

The year-end player break which lasts for about a month is coming to an end for all BLAST-partnered CS:GO teams and everyone is ready to start the 2023 season on a winning note.

Having replenished their batteries, the players will be looking in top shape to compete once again at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022 which marks the beginning of the competitive circuit.

Teams

A total of 12 teams have been handed direct invites to participate in this tournament as they are all partner teams in this circuit.

These teams have been divided into three groups of four teams each for the first stage of the event. Their placement shall decide the starting position for the second stage of the tournament.

Format

BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023 has been divided into two stages - Group Stage and Play-In Stage.

  • The Group Stage of the tournament will witness all 12 participants being divided into three groups of four teams each. Here, every group will follow a double-elimination format where every match will be a best-of-three series.

  • The winner of each group will directly qualify for the Spring Final, where as the other three teams will move on to the Play-In Stage.

  • The bottom two teams from each group will start from the quarterfinals, whereas the runners-up will start from the semifinals.

  • Once again the teams will face each other in the best-of-three series but unlike the previous stage, this one will follow a single-elimination format.

  • The three winners from this stage will qualify to the Spring Final and the remaining six teams will drop down to the Spring Showdown.

Prize Pool Split

The total prize pool of $177,500 USD will be split between all the 12 teams competing in the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023, depending on their placement at the tournament.

Apart from this, the top six teams will directly qualify for the BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2023 while the remaining six teams will move on to the BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2023.

Furthermore, all the 12 teams will also be receiving some BLAST Premier (BP) points depending on their performance.
