Autimatic highlights the biggest reasons for the failure of the CS:GO roster that EG started out with this season.
Autimatic expressed that he failed to notice what was going on in the team as he was completely focused on getting up to things in CS:GO.
For him, the biggest factor was that all the players had a different view on how they should approach the game.

Evil Geniuses (EG) has not been able to achieve a lot this season as the initial CS:GO roster that it started out with fell apart and was unable to qualify for multiple top-tier tournaments including the PGL Antwerp Major 2022.

Timothy "autimatic" Ta shared his thoughts on the biggest reasons for the failure of the lineup, in an extensive interview with HLTV, and pointed out that it was an outcome of various factors like:

  • His ignorance towards what was going on in the team.

  • Everyone having a different view on how they should play the game.

  • The conflict between Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip and Damien "maLeK" Marcel.

Autimatic talks about the biggest reasons for the failure of the former CS:GO lineup of EG

EG had started out this season with a huge overall, signing the former Major winning trio of autimatic, Stewie2K, and William "RUSH" Wierzba. But several things did not work in favor of the North American roster, which resulted in the organization taking a different approach leading to the lineup undergoing a couple of changes during the summer player break.

Talking about this troubling phase that EG went through, autimatic expressed that he failed to recognize how things were unfolding within the team as he was completely focussed on "getting comfortable again and learning the meta."

Accepting the fact that it was indeed a tough time for the team, he further pointed out that due to a lot of clashes everything became dysfunctional, "I think the biggest reason why it didn't work out was just that everyone had different views on how to play the game."

As the players failed to reach a general consensus on how to approach CS:GO, the conflict between maLeK and Stewie2K further amplified the confusion, "so we were never really able to come to some common ground and we never really got to the point where we were seeing the game the same way." said autimatic.

Since then, the main EG roster has undergone a solid revamp and they gave a glimpse of what they pack as a unit at the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022.

The team had its moments but they are far from being perfect at this point in time. The team got eliminated from the tournament following a '2-1' loss to Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Hopefully, EG has learned from its past experience and with a new coach, Daniel "Vorborg" Vorborg, to guide them, the true potential of this team remains to be seen in the upcoming tournaments.

The current main EG roster at this point in time is as follows,

  • Sanjar "neaLaN" İshakov - IGL

  • Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte

  • Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov

  • Timothy "autimatic" Ta

  • Jadan "HexT" Postma

  • Daniel "Vorborg" Vorborg - Coach
