APAC RMR: Eight CS:GO Teams Qualify for Regional Closed Qualifiers

The first set of teams from Asia, Oceania, and Middle East have qualified.

The first set of eight CS:GO teams through the first open qualifiers of the APAC RMR have been obtained for the respective closed qualifiers.
The next set of eight teams through the second open qualifiers will confirm the closed qualifiers for each region in the APAC RMR.

The open qualifiers of IEM Rio Major 2022 have commenced for all eligible regions across the world. Talking about the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, due to its vast scale the organizers have further divided it into four subregions, Asia, China, Oceania, and Middle East.

Each one of these subregions will be hosting two open qualifiers through which a total of four teams will be shortlisted for the respective closed qualifiers.

Finally, a single team from each subregion will move on to compete in the IEM Road to Rio 2022: APAC RMR (Regional Major Rankings), from where the top two teams will secure a contender status at the Rio Major.

With the first open qualifiers for all the four subregions coming to an end on 16th August, two of the four teams have been finalized for the respective regional closed qualifiers.

APAC RMR: The first set of eight CS:GO teams qualify for respective regional closed qualifiers

The first open qualifiers for all the four subregions under the Asia-Pacific region took place place from 15th to 16th August. Following its conclusion, the first set of eight teams have been obtained for the respective regional closed qualifiers.

All the teams that managed to qualify through the various open qualifiers are as follows,

Asian Closed Qualifier

Middle Eastern Closed Qualifier

Oceanic Clsoed Qualifier

IHC and Team NKT qualify ahead in APAC RMR

The second set of open qualifiers through which the remaining eight teams will be obtained for all these subregions is still left to be played. They are scheduled to take place from 22nd to 23rd August, following which the closed qualifiers will take place from 27th to 28th August.

Only one team from each subregion will move on to compete in the IEM Road to Rio 2022: APAC RMR, scheduled to take place from 4th to 9th October.
