Three CS:GO players and a coach were named as the winners of four different categories at the Esports Awards 2022.
The winners from the CS:GO esports scene that won are s1mple, m0NESY, Twistzz, and B1ad3.

The Esports Awards 2022 took place on 13th December at the Resorts World in Las Vegas, honoring players, personalities, and talents from gaming and esports for their achievements this year across various categories.

CS:GO as a title might not have been too dominant this year with the Rio Major 2022 being taken into consideration for next year's award ceremony.

However, the players have shown that the level of competition is at an all-time high with four different categories being won by the following personalities,

  1. Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev - Esports PC Player of the Year

  2. Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov - Esports PC Rookie of the Year

  3. Andrii "B1ad3" Horodenskyi - Esports Coach of the Year

  4. Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken - Esports Play of the Year

CS:GO players and personalities dominate the Esports Awards 2022: Win awards in four different categories

This was the seventh iteration of the Esports Awards, featuring a large collection of categories with several high-profile nominees and raising the bar to a whole different level.

Amidst all the glamour and glory, CS:GO players have stood their ground, proving once again that the level of competition this title holds is still increasing with each passing year.

Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev - Esports PC Player of the Year

One of the best players to have ever touched the game, s1mple, has once again showed why he is the best in the business. This year has been particularly tough on him and his family with Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but the 25-year-old has shown immense maturity to keep competing while showing solidarity with his nation and even spreading the same message.

Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov - Esports PC Rookie of the Year

What a year has it been for this CS:GO prodigy from Russia, moving from NAVI Junior to G2 Esports, where he has started spreading his wings and is turning out to be an absolute monster in the server.

He might not have achieved a lot with G2 Esports this year, but on an individual level, m0NESY has been beyond impressive. Multiple clips of his godly flicks have already gone viral through this competitive season.

Andrii "B1ad3" Horodenskyi - Esports Coach of the Year

NAVI could not replicate the insane success it witnessed last year in 2021 but they still kept trotting along this year, attaining several podium finishes.

We would like to mention that NAVI's first-ever CS:GO Major victory during PGL Stockholm last year was considered for this award, along with its runners-up finish during PGL Antwerp in 2022.

A key factor behind the team's performance was its coach, B1ad3, who has been mentioned and credited by several players on the team throughout this journey.

Esports Awards 2022 - B1ad3 wins Esports Coach of the Year

Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken - Esports Play of the Year

The gutsy move by Twistzz against NAVI on Nuke during IEM Cologne 2022 which went down to the last map in a best-of-five series was absolutely insane.

To execute a move in that fashion when the stakes are high is commendable in itself, but the fact that it was the grand finals where four maps had already been played and the last one was down to a '14-14' scoreline is what makes it all the more impressive!

These were some of the big wins by CS:GO players, coaches, and personalities on the big night at the Esports Awards 2022. The competitive year for the title is currently coming to a close with the last big event being played out, BLAST Premier World Final 2022, as well all look forward to another amazing season next year.
