The 2022 competitive season is culminating for both CS:GO and BLAST with a final global tournament, BLAST Premier World Final 2022, which has been in the making since the first tier one event of the calendar year kicked off in January - BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022.

With some of the best CS:GO teams from across the world having fought hard through various qualifiers and other top tier tournaments, the final eight have been assembled. Every single team has earned its spot to compete for a massive total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD (INR 8,24,40,150).

Here are the complete details for the BLAST Premier World Final 2022, scheduled to take place from 14th to 18th December at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

BLAST likes to do things a bit differently, be it their tournament format, event production, or simply the fact that it likes to start and close out the CS:GO competitive season every single year.

Once again the BLAST Premier World Final is upon us and we are here to keep you updated with all the ongoings of this tournament.

Qualified Teams

A total of eight CS:GO teams will be competing in this tournament, having cemented a spot for themselves by fighting through the various seasonal qualifiers or winning some of the eligible top tier tournaments.

Schedule and Results

The tournament has been divided into two stages, Group Stage and Playoffs. Two groups of four teams each will compete. The bottom placed teams from each group shall be eliminated from the tournament.

Format

Group Stage

  • The eight qualified teams have been divided into two groups of four teams each.

  • Both groups will be following a double-elimination format where every match will be a best-of-three series.

  • The top three teams from each group will proceed to the Playoffs while the bottom placed team will be eliminated from the tournament.

Playoffs

  • The winner of each group will directly qualify to the semifinal round of the tournament.

  • The second and third placed teams will qualify to the quarterfinal round as the high and low seed teams respectively.

  • Even this stage of the tournament will follow a single-elimination bracket where all matches will be best-of-three series.

The massive one million dollar prize pool will be divided between all the eight finalist teams that have managed to qualify for the BLAST Premier World Final 2022, based on their overall placement in the tournament.
