  • S1mple says that there is absolutely no need to hate on anyone because all CS:GO pros are trying to "do a great job of showing some great performances”.

Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev one of the best CS:GO players in the world who is constantly compared to Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut has once again stood in support of the French AWPer. In his February 11 Twitch stream, s1mple defended ZywOo against haters after the Vitality star delivered the worst single map performance of his CS:GO career against Complexity at BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2021. S1mple explained that every CS:GO player no matter how great they are witnesses a drop in their performance at times, “If some of us great players play bad, it doesn’t mean we’re going to keep playing bad. You don’t need to hate us.”

This is not the first time s1mple has stood up for a fellow CS:GO player. In the past, s1mple has supported both ZywOo and Tarik for one reason or the other. The way in which he has transformed himself as a person is fantastic, becoming an ideal role model for many both in and out of the server.

In his recent Twitch stream, s1mple stood in support of ZywOo after hate started spreading against the French prodigy for his poor performance against Complexity. The 23-year-old Ukrainian came forward to say that, “If you see dev1ce or ZywOo, you don’t get to trash talk them, because as you saw, I had the worst game of my career as well (EPICENTER 2019 against Vitality). It’s not because I played bad, it’s because my team played bad.”

S1mple explained to the haters that it is not a player that performs bad, but it is the whole team that fails to perform. He even talks about facing a similar situation himself, a reference to his performance from EPICENTER 2019 when he achieved an HLTV rating of 0.30 against Vitality on Nuke.

He further says that anyone can argue over who is the better player but there is absolutely no need to hate on anyone,

“No need to say they are doing bad, to point out some of their mistakes, or write anything about them. Like me or ZywOo or dev1ce or Electronic or any other player, all of us can show something new for you and each other, and that’s what we need to respect because all of us do a great job of showing some great performances.”

S1mple concludes by saying that he respects when some shows stability and confidence in their performance at a high level of competition and that is what others should respect as well.

The CS:GO community were in awe at s1mple’s pitch perfect response to the haters and acknowledged the fact about him growing leaps and bounds as a person. The common take away from what the community said was, s1mple has matured as a person since his time in North America with Team Liquid when he was labelled as having a toxic personality.
