Christopher ‘GeT_RiGhT’ Alesund has stepped down from NiP’s active line-up effective immediately. The Swedish Counter-Strike organization Ninjas in Pyjamas took to twitter to announce the departure of a long-standing member of their organization.
In the blog published by NiP, they state that GeT_RiGhT himself along with his team members had decided that it was time for him to take the next step in his career as a player.
It is true that GeT_RiGhT’s future with the organization had been a topic of concern for quite some time now, but as promised in an earlier blog post by NiP, the organization has offered him a key position within the organization. While GeT_RiGhT still hasn’t given them an answer the organization says that they would be thrilled to see him stay in the organization.

GeT-RiGhT played for NiP from August 2012 to September 2019, in his seven long years with the team, he has gone on to help the team attain victory at multiple tournaments like ESL One: Cologne 2014, DreamHack Masters Malmo 2016, IEM Oakland 2016 & Oakland 2017.
He was also a part of the team during their juggernaut run of winning 87 maps in a row and is one of the only two players in the world to have won two ‘Player of the Year’ awards.
The organization has stated earlier that they were looking for a suitable replacement for him and it seems as if they have got just the right player as they stated that, ‘we believe we have found the right person for the job.’
No further information was given related to this statement and it seems as if more information on the topic would be given in the coming days. Let’s see what decision GeT_RiGhT makes concerning his future, does he stay put with NiP or go-ahead to compete with another organization.
