FaZe Clan adds coldzera to CS:GO roster ahead of ESL One New York

FaZe Clan has finally added Marcelo ‘coldzera’ David to its CS:GO roster ahead of ESL One New York 2019.

Rumours and speculation have finally been laid to rest as FaZe Clan has officially announced the addition of the 24-year-old Brazilian CS:GO player Marcelo ‘coldzera’ David to its roster. The announcement was made via Twitter earlier today where FaZe’s owner Thomas ‘Temperrr’ Oliveira appeared to troll viewers that he would be joining the roster. Shortly after, coldzera is seen in the video asking “what about me?” before finally confirming that he is indeed joining the team.

His previous team MIBR also took to Twitter to bid farewell to the mighty successful Brazilian player who had been with the organization since their Luminosity Gaming days. Coldzera is one of the best players in the world, having secured the ‘Player of the Year’ title twice in his career, only the second player in the history of Counter-Strike to have won the title on two separate occasions.

After a poor string of performances along with MIBR, the Brazilian superstar requested to be benched as he wanted to move on from the organization. The rumours of him joining FaZe Clan were ripe since the beginning, as Nikola ‘NiKo’ Kovac had commented ‘FaZe Up’ on his Instagram post just days after him being benched.

Coldzera seems to be happy with this decision as he took to Instagram and wrote the following,

“After 3 months on the bench, I'm really happy to announce my new home! I'm really excited to be part of this great organization and I'm looking forward to playing with these guys! Thanks for everything MIBR we made some great memories together and I will always cherish that! Now it's gonna be a new challenge and I'm gonna give my best to make it work.”

The highly anticipated signing has finally taken place and coldzera will be seen in action with his new team soon at the ESL One: New York 2019. Let’s see how well FaZe Clan perform in their first LAN with a fresh roster, consisting of the unknown player Helvijs ‘broky’ Saukants, who is playing for the side on a trial basis.
