Counter-Strike 2 is available as part of a Limited Test Beta and its official release is scheduled for Summer 2023. A lot of players who are playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) are wondering if their current system will be able to handle the game and how much of a toll Counter-Strike 2 will take on their storage. How big is Counter-Strike 2 on Steam?
Counter-Strike 2 is currently a 15 GB download on Steam and it goes up to around 16GB after installation. The size of the game at launch may increase if Valve adds more content to the game.
The system requirements for Counter-Strike 2 are not officially available but players have reported that the performance of the game is identical to that of CS:GO. We can use the CS:GO system requirements as a reference but expect the actual system requirements to be slightly higher as Counter-Strike 2 features an engine upgrade and better visuals.

While we know how many GBs Counter-Strike 2 is on Steam and what the approximate system requirements are, we still recommend waiting for Valve’s official hardware requirements in case you are planning to upgrade your hardware.
