PUBG Mobile Pro Inyodream Alleges Teams Buying Slots in Tier 1 Tournaments
Ex-Fnatic player Ujwal "inyodream" Chaudhari alleged in an Instagram post that that certain players and teams are paying their way into the Tier 1 scene, in both scrims or tournaments.
He alleges that instead of ranking new players and teams based on their achievements, they are simply paying money as much as INR 15,000 (approximately $200 USD) to INR 25,000 ($340) to enter tournaments.
In the post, he also alleges that major teams such as TSM Entity, Fnatic, GodLike, and Xspark are aware of this and still continued to scrim or play with these teams.
As the PUBG Mobile ban continues to affect the Indian esports ecosystem, it seems that there are new problems growing in the scene. He concludes by saying that while they don’t have the exposure but are still performing if we take that into account, then there are so many teams out there. He also says that if that is the explanation, then every team should be given a chance each day.
