After the PUBG Mobile ban in India, there have been months of speculation about its return with hype being created around Diwali with the release of a teaser. It has been more than 2 months since the teaser featuring Jonathan and Dynamo and there is still no sign of its return. Popular PUBG YouTuber Maxtern has been tweeting about possible announcements of the game’s return.
However, Maxtern decided to say goodbye to Twitter three days before the deadline he had set for himself. The content creator hinted that he would be doing the same with his Instagram on 19th January in an Insta story.
Maxtern’s Failed Predictions
The PUBG Mobile YouTuber had previously claimed in a deleted tweet that access to PUBG Mobile India has already been given out to some influencers. This was followed by a tweet on 12th December which stated, “According to some internal source: there might be an announcement related to PUBG mobile India officials on this Christmas. On 5th January, he again tweeted that, “A deadly announcement between Jan 15th to Jan 19th soon! #Confirmed. Else, will delete my Twitter.” He had pinned the tweet on his now-deleted profile. Despite the self-imposed deadline of 19th January, Maxtern decided to bid farewell to his Twitter much earlier. PUBG Mobile caster Ocean Sharma reacted to deleting his Twitter account prematurely, tweeting out:
Another account claiming to be Maxtern tweeted out replying to Ocean’s tweet:
Meanwhile, Maxtern clarified on Instagram that he had only one Twitter account ‘@RealMaxtern’ so the new account seems to be a fake.
