  • After 4 teams were banned from PMCO Pakistan, 4 more receive bans today.
  • 11 Indian teams are also disqualified from PMCO India.
  • Both PMCO Pakistan and PMCO India will resume tomorrow, 21st August 2020.

The Fall edition of the PMCO has been plagued by multiple accusations of hacking. As a result, PMCO India, PMCO South Asia & PMCO Pakistan had been postponed due to what officials termed as ‘suspicious behaviour’ of some qualified teams, who are currently playing the group stages of the tournaments. Earlier 4 teams from PMCO Pakistan received lifetime bans and today, it was declared that 4 more teams would be banned. 11 teams from India are also receiving bans from the tournament.

PMCO Pakistan Fall Split 2020’s official stream was stopped midway on the 13th of August and the casters announced a break after which streaming stopped. Officials reportedly conducted an all-captain meeting for PMCO Pakistan following the accusations of hacking and ended up giving Team Xtreme, 47 esports, Team Ecstasyyy and Team Hellfire lifetime bans. Today it was confirmed that 4 more teams, namely PAK FALCON, riskOP, HotShotSs and TeamHELLFIRE would be disqualified from PMCO Fall Split Pakistan 2020. The tournament will resume without these 8 teams playing tomorrow, 21st August 2020.

TSM Entity’s Ghatak had uploaded an insta story on 13th August, asking PMCO officials to look into the hacking allegations urgently. Reports suggested that one of the teams renamed themselves as ‘Hater Esports’ and continued playing the Group Stage. Today it was announced that Haters Esports, TEAM F4, TXO, MCOPS ESPORTS, DND MAHEWIANS, NINJAX TEAM, INDIAN OFFICIAL, REVENGE CORVUS, DTHesports, WeBSiTE and Reckless Esports have been disqualified. The Indian leg of PMCO will also resume tomorrow, 21st August 2020.

PMCO officials called a meeting with all the captains, the Tencent team and the NODWIN team for discussing this matter further. 

PMCO Fall Split 2020 had kicked off in both India and Pakistan on 12th August with a total of 32 teams in each Club Open battling it out against each other for a spot in the Semi-Finals. PMCO offers a massive prize pool of $1,000,000. A record number of 80,000+ teams registered to participate in the  Fall Split of this open-for-all tournament. As a result of hacking allegations, PMCO India, PMCO South Asia & PMCO Pakistan had been postponed due to what officials termed as ‘suspicious behaviour’ of some qualified teams. Both PMCO India and PMCO Pakistan will resume tomorrow on 21st August 2020.
