PMWL 2020 East Week 2 Day 2: Bigetron RA Back On Top Spot

League Play for PMWL East Season Zero Week 2 Day 2 ended today. The Overall Standings are out, the top 16 teams will be going head to head in the second Super Weekend. Teams that did not make it to the top 16 last week fought hard to make it to Super Weekend in Week 2 and some like FreeStyle managed to qualify. 

South Asian teams climbed the ranks while some South-East Asian teams are slowly slipping towards the bottom of the leaderboard as the weeks go by. Yoodo Gank, NoChance had played for the first Super Weekend but failed to qualify for the second one. Nova Godlike made a bit of a comeback, coming in the top 2 in Match 1 and top 5 in Match 2 and Match 5. However, despite their efforts, the team failed to qualify for the second Super Weekend. In Match 1 they lost the Chicken Dinner to Team Secret who continued their streak from last night’s win. Week 2 Matches were crucial for Nova Godlike who failed to make it to the first Super Weekend.

How did the teams perform during PMWL Week 2?

Bigetron RA continued their consistent performance, picking up a Chicken Dinner in Match 3 of PMWL and generally kept at the top of the leaderboard. This allowed them to reclaim the top spot in the Overall Standings. BOX Gaming performed well today, generally staying in the top half of the leaderboard. They made it to the top 3 in Match 2 and Match 4. 

Yoodo Gank’s performance has slipped from their Hattrick Chicken Dinners in the first Super Weekend to not qualifying for the second Super Weekend. Except for Match 4 where they bagged 2nd place due to their 11 kill points the team was eliminated very early in the games. 

SynerGE started the day off with a bang, bagging a Chicken Dinner in Match 2 due to the efforts of Zigsaw and Shryder’s 2v4 against BOX Gaming but floundered as they ended later games in the bottom half of the leaderboard. However, the team managed to place 15th and retain their spot for the second Super Weekend. 

FreeStyle also performed fairly well today, ending in the top 5 with 3 kills in Match 1 and in the top 2 in Match 3. However, in the third Match, they were taken out by Bigetron RA. The team rose to 6th place in the overall standings, gaining them a spot in the top 16 for the Super Weekend of PMWL.    

Day 1 of the PMWL East Week 2 Super Weekend will start on Friday, 24th July at 5:30 PM IST. PMWL 2020 East is streamed live on the official PUBG MOBILE Esports YouTube channel.
