It takes a lot to win in PUBG Mobile. A good handle of the controls, picking up audio and visual cues, familiarity with the different maps, and its weapons are all important to get that Chicken Dinner. A good loadout typically consists of a long-range gun and a back-up, shorter range weapon for close encounters. A sniper rifle is typically handy during the mid-game phase in PUBG, as it helps you spot enemies from afar as the play zone closes in. Some of the best sniper rifles in the game include AWM, M24, Mk14 EBR and the SKS. Today we’ll be looking at the Accuracy International AWM and what makes it so potent.

AWM (Arctic Warfare Magnum)

The AWM is a powerful bolt action sniper rifle in PUBG designed for long-range sharpshooting. It uses .300 Magnum bullets to dish out tonnes of damage. AWM can kill a Level 1, Level 2, or a no helmet player in a single shot. At distances beyond 500 meters, the rifle is one of the only weapons that can one-shot a level 3 helmet, making it a good choice for late game.

As one of the most accurate sniper rifles in the game, the AWM recoil and bullet recovery is one of the best in PUBG Mobile. The AWM is an extremely powerful rifle in the right hands. However, acquiring the weapon (and its ammo) involves risking quick eliminations. The long reload, the gap between shots, the considerable damage and unique ammo contribute to a high risk, high reward style of gameplay that requires players to have patience and a steady aim. The rifle has attachment slots for a scope, muzzle, a magazine and stock. So equip this beast with an 8x and go berserk.

The AWM is not available as a standard spawn item on the map. It can only be found in airdrops and flare drops. The ammunition (.300 Magnum) has 20 magazines. The AWM fires these unique magnum rounds which are also only available in airdrops. These are transported to the play area by planes. They usually drop near the centre of the zone so players will need to move and rotate to the centre for a chance to get an AWM. Players need to be careful since supply drops are hotly contested. However, you can find attachments for AWMs like the muzzle, mag, grip, and scope, anywhere on the map.
