The First Edition of Skyesports Championship

The first Skyesports Championship was a LAN event that took place at Phoenix Market City, Chennai on 23rd and 24th of March, 2019. Along with conventional titles like PUBG Mobile, the tournament also featured World Cricket Championship Rivals, a cricket championship multiplayer mobile game, as an esports event with a prize pool of Rs. 1,00,000. Clash Royale was also played in a 1v1 format with another Rs. 1,00,000 to be won.

One of the main events was a  PUBG Mobile tournament which had a prize pool of Rs. 5,00,000. Over 800 squads registered last time from which online qualifiers were conducted and the top 60 teams competed in LAN for the semi-finals and the finals. However, this year due to the current restrictions on gatherings, the Skyesports Championship has been moved online.

Skyesports has previously conducted various tournaments for mobile gaming titles in the past including Skyesports Invitational Scrims and Skyesports Elite Club Scrims for PUBG Mobile and the recently concluded Brawl Stars Championship 2020.
