TI10 Qualifiers Details

TI10 Qualifiers Schedule

First will be CIS and SA, where the TI10 qualifiers will take place from June 23-26, 2021.

Second will be NA and SEA, where the TI10 qualifiers will take place from June 30-July 3.

The third and final will be China and EU, where the TI10 qualifiers will take place from July 7-10.

Which Teams Can Compete in the TI10 Qualifiers?

The regional qualifiers will include all 16 teams, eight in the Upper and eight in the Lower Divisions. The only exceptions are teams that accumulate enough DPC points to receive a direct invite.

In addition, each of these teams needs to ensure that they have three out of the five members from the squad that competed in season 2 of the DPC.

TI10 Qualifiers Format

Teams will be seeded into a double-elimination playoff bracket. In order to seed, teams will be given priority based on the DPC points earned over the course of the two regional leagues and two Majors. Here’s how the brackets will look:

Since some teams can directly qualify and others might disband, a Valve employee, Bruno stated,

“If a region doesn’t have 16 eligible teams (most or all of them), whatever empty slots remaining at the end will be byes. For example, if a region has 13 teams available, slots 14 to 16 will be byes and seeds 9, 10 and 11 will advance to [the] next round immediately.

So, to be specific: DPC points matter over standings in the last season. Byes are always taken from the bottom (which means more division 2 teams can start in upper bracket if several teams are directly qualified)”

  • All series will be BO3s
  • The grand finals will be BO5
  • One team will qualify for TI10 (from each of the six regions)
