Abat and the former members of the disbanded Vice Esports roster have teamed up under “South Built Esports.” Information regarding this appeared on Valve’s Majors Registration page where Denz Daryll "Abat" Anedez and the four former Vice Esports players were added to South Built Esports’ roster for the 2021 DPC Season. The all-Filipino team is currently competing in the Asian New Bloom and the PNXBET Invitationals Season 4 tournaments. It is unclear at the moment if this team is a temporary stack or has registered with an organization and will be competing together in the second season of the DPC.

Former Cignal Ultra carry, Abat, and former Vice Esports members team up

Abat last competed with Cignal Ultra in the recently concluded SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Lower Division. The team barely missed out on an Upper Division promotion in the league as they finished in third place. The Filipino, who had been playing with Cignal Ultra since January 2020 was found “removed” from the roster on Valve’s Majors Registration Page on March 1, 2021.

However, the organization has still not confirmed Abat’s departure from the squad.

The Filipino carry player now unites with the former players of the Vice Esports roster and will be playing under “South Built Esports.”

While Vice Esports qualified for the Upper Division in the first season of the DPC, they had a disappointing run in the league as they came last. After the league’s conclusion, Execration signed the team’s carry player, Jinn Marrey "Palos" Lamatao, on February 28, 2021, leaving the roster down to four players.

At the beginning of March 2021, the organization then announced through Manila Bulletin that they were releasing their roster and then looking for a new set of players and support staff to compete in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 2: Lower Division. However, Vice Esports also communicated that their participation in the next season of the DPC was dependent on them finding the right group of people.

A lot more clarity about the future of South Built Esports can be expected after the conclusion of the ongoing Asian New Bloom and the PNXBET Invitationals Season 4 tournaments.
