2021 DPC S1 Upper Division Tiebreakers: EU, NA, SEA, CIS and SA Full Details
- As we culminate the DPC Upper Division group stages in all the regions except China, certain results have led to the need for tiebreakers.
- These tiebreakers will be deciding the final Upper Division standings in each of EU, SEA, NA, SA and CIS. While some teams are fighting for a Major slot, others are competing to avoid relegation.
- Here is a look at which all teams are competing in the tiebreakers and what exactly is on the line for each of them.
The 2021 DPC Season 1 is heading towards a conclusion in almost all six regions. As a result, we have a list of some teams who have succeeded in grabbing a Major slot. However, certain results in the EU, NA, SEA and CIS regions have led to the need for tiebreakers to finalize the teams heading to the Singapore Major. Teams like OG, Team Liquid and Evil Geniuses will play another round of series over the course of this weekend, February 27-28, to determine their final spots in the points table. Let us take a look at which all teams are competing in the tiebreakers and what exactly is on the line for each of them.

EU 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division Tiebreakers
OG, Team Liquid and Tundra Esports
Team Secret, Alliance, and Team Nigma are the EU teams that have secured a spot in the Singapore Major. Secret will be going to the playoffs, Alliance to the group stages, and Nigma to the Major’s wild card. For the last remaining Major wild card slot from the region and the fourth position in the points table, OG, Team Liquid, and Tundra Esports will be competing in a three-way BO1 tiebreaker.

NA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division Tiebreakers
1. Evil Geniuses, Quincy Crew and Undying
No team has yet qualified for the Major from the NA region. For the top seed (Major playoffs) and the second seed (Major group stage), Evil Geniuses, Quincy Crew and Undying will be competing in a three-way BO1 tiebreaker.
Date and time of the tiebreaker- March 1, 2021, beginning 4:00 AM SGT.
2. Sadboys, A-Team and Black N Yellow
5ManMidas is the first team in the NA region to get eliminated from the DPC Upper Division. Sadboys, A-Team and Black N Yellow will be competing in a three-way BO1 tiebreaker to determine the second team that gets knocked out from the Upper Division in the next season.
Date and time of the tiebreaker- March 1, 2021, beginning 7:00 AM SGT.

SEA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division Tiebreakers
T1 vs Neon Esports
Fnatic, T1, and Neon Esports are the three teams from the SEA region that have advanced to the Singapore Major. While Fnatic finished in the first place and thus secured a spot in the Major playoffs, T1 and Neon Esports will be competing in a BO3 tiebreaker for the second and third spot. While the second spot grants a place in the Major group stages, the third spot will lead to a place in the Major wild card.
Date and time of the tiebreaker- February 27, 2021 at 4:00 PM SGT

CIS 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division Tiebreakers
Virtus.pro and Natus Vincere have qualified for the Major from the CIS region. However, both of them still need to play each other and that series takes place on February 27, 1:00 AM SGT. If Virtus.pro manages to win, they secure the first position and the Major playoffs spot and Natus Vincere gets the second position and the Major group stage spot. In case Natus Vincere wins, both the teams will play a BO3 tiebreaker to determine who comes first. In case there is a tiebreaker scenario, we will update this section with its date and time.
1. Team Spirit vs AS Monaco Gambit
Team Spirit and AS Monaco Gambit will be fighting in a BO3 tiebreaker for the last remaining Major slot (Major wild card) and the third spot in the points table.
Date and time of the tiebreaker- March 1, 2021. Time is yet to be revealed.
2. Team Empire vs Team Unique
Solo’s team, NoTechies is the first team in the CIS region to get eliminated from the DPC Upper Division. Team Empire and Team Unique will be competing in a BO3 tiebreaker to determine who stays in the Upper Division in the next season and who gets relegated to the Lower one.
Date and time of the tiebreaker- March 1, 2021. Time is yet to be revealed.

SA 2021 DPC Season 1: Upper Division Tiebreakers
Beastcoast, Thunder Predator and SG e-sports are the three final contenders for the two Major slots from the SA region. Beastcoast will play SG e-sports in the final series of the region. If beastcoast managed to win it, they will take first place and the Major playoffs while Thunder Predator finishes second and takes the Major group stage spot. However, if SG e-sports wins the series, there will be a three-way BO1 tiebreaker for the two slots. If that happens, we will update this section to reflect the outcome and mention the tiebreaker’s date and time.
