- Cloud9 might be looking to add both Xeppaa and Elmapuddy to their CS:GO roster.
- It is unclear if Xeppaa will replace someone on the roster or will come onboard as a sixth player.
- Elmapuddy has previously worked with Cloud9 as an assistant coach.
The North American esports organization Cloud9 after overhauling their entire CS:GO team, seems to have fallen flat when it comes to performance. Before the start of the 2021 competitive circuit, Cloud9 has started making a few changes as reports have started to come in about the addition both a new player and a coach.
Cloud9 recently parted ways with their head coach Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunovic and are now reportedly in talks with both the 20-year-old North American rifler Erick "Xeppaa" Bac and 24-year-old Australian coach Chris "Elmapuddy" Tebbit.

Cloud9 Might Add Xeppaa To Their CS:GO Roster
According to a report by HLTV, Cloud9 might be signing the former Chaos Esports Club rifler Xeppaa to their CS:GO roster. The 20-year-old had a great 2020 along with his previous lineup that took a step back from CS:GO due to the pandemic’s impact on the competitive circuit.
It is unclear at this point of time if he will be replacing someone else on the lineup or whether he would be joining Cloud9 as their sixth CS:GO player, something that Henry "HenryG" Greer had previously talked about.
The only problem here is that HenryG wanted an additional player who would more or less act as a backup rather than a constantly rotating player who would act as a specialist on certain maps or against specific teams. Xeppaa being a young player might not be inclined to such a massive handicap as he is clearly one of the top prospects from the North American region who has the ability to grow even more.
In his time with Chaos, Xeppaa has gone on to contribute to the team’s victory at DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: NA, IEM Beijing 2020: NA, Funspark ULTI 2020: NA, and numerous other lower-tier CS:GO tournaments.
Cloud9 Looking To Sign Elmapuddy As New CS:GO Coach
Elmapuddy who previously worked with Cloud9 as their Assistant Coach for a period of 3 months in late 2019, might be once again returning to the North American organization as per a report by Rush B Media. He was recently put on a transfer list by Gen.G Esports who are not to keen on further competing in CS:GO.
HenryG in a statement to Rush B Media said that “While nothing has been made official as of yet, it is no secret that we are in deep talks with Chris 'Elmapuddy' Tebbit.” An official update on the matter will be released later this week as Cloud9 are doing everything they can to set their roster in place for the 2021 season.
Cloud9 is looking forward to “an exciting and fruitful 2021 season” which would require a consistently good run for them through the year. The team is already set to participate in the Play-In stage of the upcoming IEM Katowice 2020, scheduled to take place from 16th-17th February.
If Cloud9 completes these reported signings, the lineup could be as follows:
- Ricky "floppy" Kemery
- Alex "ALEX" McMeekin
- William "mezii" Merriman
- Ozgur "woxic" Eker
- Patrick "es3tag" Hansen
- Erick "Xeppaa" Bach
- Chris "Elmapuddy" Tebbit [Head Coach]
- Josh "m1cks" Micks [Assistant Coach]
