  • He will be replacing the Danish rifler es3tag on the roster.
  • Astralis will be seen in action along with gla1ve later today as they go up against Complexity.

Senior Astralis member Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander is all set to return to Astralis' active roster after more than three months of absence from the competitive CS:GO circuit following his departure in May earlier this year. He will be replacing one of the latest players to join the Danish roster Patrick "es3tag" Hansen as the veteran in-game leader marks his return against Complexity later today.

Gla1ve Returns To Astralis Active Roster

The 25-year-old Danish captain will be leading the Astralis roster once again as he replaces es3tag to finally mark his return to the competitive circuit. He will be seen in action later today against Complexity in their opening match of ESL Pro League Season 12: Europe.

Gla1ve had taken a break from Counter-Strike in May earlier this year after suffering from symptoms of stress and burnout for a long time. At the time he had stated that he would be taking a three-month break and true to his words the experienced in-game leader has returned to ensure that Astralis find their way back to their former self.

The player had actually joined Astralis a few weeks back during ESL One: Cologne 2020 Europe - Online and was reportedly registered as a backup player along with Andreas "Xyp9x" Hojsleth. Though he was not part of the active lineup gla1ve was very much involved with the team in the background as he worked alongside Danny "zonic" Sorensen to function as the team’s assistant coach.

During his time away from the team which also observed Xyp9x taking an indefinite break from Counter-Strike Astralis really took quite a blow, they lost their place from the HLTV top-10 global rankings after more than 3 years while also skipping the second RMR tournament, cs_summit 6.

But the team is starting to come back as they put up quite a fierce fight at ESL One Cologne and with gla1ve returning back let’s see how the Danes perform in ESL Pro League Season 12. It will not be an easy ride though as they find themselves in quite a packed group!
