E2MAX will be taking a break and will not be playing for the MPL PH Season 10.
According to Z4pnu, Kielvj shall be filling the role of Mid Laner for Omega Esports.
Z4pnu remains hopeful that E2MAX may change his mind in the future and continue his career for the MPL PH Season 10.

Omega Esports’ veteran player Patrick James “E2MAX” Caidic will not be joining his squad in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 10. As revealed through a vlog post by Billy “Z4pnu” Alfonso, the star Mid Laner has decided to skip the next season after the team failed to defend its championship title in the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup 2022 (MSC 2022). As Omega Esports’ veteran player takes a break from the competitive scene, the team’s former star jungler Kiel “Kielvj” VJ Cruzem may be filling the role as the new Mid Laner for the MPL PH Season 10.

E2MAX takes a break from the MLBB esports scene after failing to defend MSC 2022 title

E2MAX is one of the most reliable Mid Laners and team captains of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) competitive scene and this was the case even when the team was first known as Execration. Despite his veteran status, the pro player was able to keep up with various promising rookies, making Omega Esports one of the strongest teams in the PH MLBB esports scene.

However, fans may not be seeing the veteran player in the upcoming MPL PH Season 10 as revealed by Z4pnu in one of his vlogs titled “E2MAX OUT.”

“We were sad when he suddenly said that he would be taking a break. That’s why you see him crying at that time [during MSC 2022] because that was his final game,” Z4pnu explained.

Omega Esports’ substitute player further explained that he tried to convince E2MAX that he could still continue playing because the veteran is still capable of keeping up with the youngbloods despite his age.

“I said ‘Why would it be your last game? You know you still have the skill and you can keep up with other players especially the young ones’,” Z4pnu stated.

However, E2MAX’s decision seemed final as the team now looks to field a new Mid Laner for the upcoming MPL season.

“We can’t do anything if E2MAX really doesn’t want to play, we already talked about it that if he won’t be playing, Kiel will be stepping up. What will happen is the Kielvj and Ch4knu connection will be back,” said Z4pnu.

While the team will be testing the waters with the new lineup, Omega Esports' substitute player said that “it’s just sad that we won’t be having our captain in Smart Omega for the next season.”

Despite this, Z4pnu remains hopeful that E2MAX may change his mind in the future and continue his career for the MPL PH Season 10. “I don’t know, maybe E2MAX would change his mind. But for me, he can still play. He still on his level, he is yet to reach the maximum level of gameplay. I just hope this won’t be his last game.”

Z4pnu did hint in his previous vlogs that Kielvj has been practicing other roles and may play in the upcoming season. For now, fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for Omega Esports’ roster reveal for the MPL PH Season 10.
