ECHO star roamer Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera was crowned as the Razer Gold-Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philipines (MPL PH) Press Corps Player of the Week for the period of 2nd March to 8th March. The iconic player displayed his exceptional mechanical skills using a variety of heroes like Chou and Atlas. As one of the most versatile roamers, Yawi has proven himself worthy of receiving the MPL PH Season 11 Week 3 Player of the Week award. Aside from the prestigious award, the star roamer shall also receive a prize courtesy of Razor Gold.

Yawi displays full mastery of Chou to earn Player of the Week citation for Week 3

Just a select few have the mechanical skill necessary to master a hero like Chou. Yawi is one good example of that, as ECHO's playmaker received the Razer Gold-MPL PH Press Corps Player of the Week title.

Yawi showed his versatility and technical skill as a roamer in week three of MPL PH Season 11 by accumulating 5.75 assists, 2 kills, and a kill-death-assist rate of 3.10. ECHO remained unchallenged. This past weekend, ECHO’s playmaker showed outstanding teamwork by assisting in 56.36 percent of the team's kills and assisting i CD n the victories of his teammates.

Demonstrating why he is viewed as one of the greatest, if not the best, Chou players in the world, both of Yawi's MVP citations this week came from using his signature hero. The 21-year-old talent had three assists to go with four kills with his comfort pick as ECHO locked the sweep against TNC Pro Team when they kick-started their Week 3 campaign last Friday. At Kadita, he also employed his comfort mage roam pick.

Last Sunday, Yawi and Chou combined for 11 assists as the defending world champion defeated Nexplay EVOS, 2-0.

Yawi won the award over Bren Esports' Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo and fellow teammate Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya. He now ranks second in the league in terms of assists this year with 92 assists, just one assist behind Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna, who has 93 career assists.

Yawi, through a press conference on Sunday, deflected praise for his achievement from ECHO Manager Mitch Liwanag, claiming that the latter was a crucial component of the Orcas' development into a top-tier group of athletes.

“She [Mitch] made sure that we are taken cares of and the environment is good, whatever is not allowed in the bootcamp. Checks us out after season one by one, and as a team, and whenever we have problems, she talks to us,” said the ECHO star roamer.
