In the Land of Dawn, chances of a comeback are slim, but this year the MPL PH honor’s Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya's spectacular comeback, for which he will be awarded the Razer Gold Breakout Player of the Year award.

He helped ECHO secure a spot in the M4 World Championship, the team's first-ever involvement in the M-series, with his resurgent performance in the MPL PH Season 10.

He subsequently demonstrated growth in his skills by playing a crucial role in ECHO’s victory in the international competition.

The talented 16-year-old made his professional debut in the eighth season of the MPL PH where he had a forgettable performance under Nexplay Evos. However, his professional career was rejuvenated by his move to ECHO in Season 10, performing admirably when the squad most needed him.

Players who made successful comebacks to the MPL PH after spending some time away from the competitive scene were also awarded.

For 2022, no comeback was more impressive than Blacklist International skipper Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna.

After winning back-to-back championships in Seasons 7 and 8, The Queen skipped Season 9. Despite missing out on one season, her performance never faltered as she returned in Season 10 and won her third MPL PH championship.

For her impressive return to the MPL stage, OhMyV33nus was chosen as the Razer Gold Comeback Player of the Year.
