For the first time in history, the International Esports Federation (IESF) is featuring PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (ML:BB) at the 14th World Esports Championship 2022.
A total of 19 teams have qualified for the Play-ins of the PUBG Mobile competition at the 14th World Esports Championship 2022.
Eleven teams from the Play-ins will join the five already qualified teams in the event finals.

For the first time in history, the International Esports Federation’s (IESF) World Esports Championship is featuring PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (ML:BB), along with four other titles - Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), Dota 2, Tekken 7, and eFootball. Moreover, Team India has qualified for the CS:GO, Tekken 7, and eFootball in the 14th iteration of the championship. With PUBG Mobile and ML:BB being banned in the country, Team India could not compete in the championship.

The stage for the PUBG Mobile competition at the 14th World Esports Championship 2022 is all set, with the Play-ins to commence today. The championship is taking place at the Merusaka Hotel Nusa Dua in Bali, Indonesia, and will last till 10th December. Following is everything you need to know about the PUBG Mobile competition at the 14th World Esports Championship.

PUBG Mobile at the 14th World Esports Championship 2022

The competition is split into two stages, i.e., the Play-ins and the Finals. Following are all the teams participating in the PUBG Mobile at the 14th World Esports Championship 2022 and the schedule for the event.

PUBG Mobile Play-Ins: The Play-ins stage of the tournament will take place on 2nd, 5th, and 7th December. A total of 19 teams from across the world have qualified for the event and will play in the Play-ins. These 19 teams are divided into three groups, Group A, B, and C. These three groups will compete in the Play-ins stage in 12 matches, and the top 11 teams will move on to the Finals of the competition.

Following is the group distribution for the PUBG Mobile competition at the 14th World Esports Championship 2022:

Group A:

  • Libya (LBY)

  • Senegal (SEN)

  • Pakistan (PAK)

  • Saudi Arabia (SAU)

  • Brunei (BRU)

  • Azerbaijan (AZE)

  • Sri Lanka (LKA)

Group B:

  • South Korea (KOR)

  • Mauritius (MUS)

  • Nahrain (BHR)

  • Taiwan (TPE)

  • Vietnam (VNM)

  • Iraq (IRQ)

Group C:

  • Ghana (GHA)

  • Jordan (JDR)

  • Djibouti (DJI)

  • Guatemala (GTM)

  • Maldives (MDV)

  • Egypt (EGY)

PUBG Mobile Finals: For the finals of the PUBG Mobile competition, 16 teams will fight in the battlegrounds for the global title. Eleven teams will qualify from the Play-ins stage, one team each from the Regional Qualifiers from Asia, Europe, Africa, and PANAM (Pan America). Furthermore, the last remaining slot will be reserved for a team from the host country Indonesia.

Following are the teams that have already qualified for the PUBG Mobile Finals at the 14th World Esports Championship:

  • Team Indonesia – Host country reserved slot

  • Team Turkey – Europe Qualifiers

  • Team Brazil – PANAM Qualifiers

  • Team Kazakhstan – Asia Qualifiers

  • Team Morocco – African Qualifiers

All the teams qualified for the event are professional. Some of the players are already competing at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship. For example, Team Turkey and Team Kazakhstan will feature players from Fire Flux Esports and Titan Esports, the current roster of Nigma Galaxy will represent Iraq, and Team Saudi Arabia will feature R8 Esports’ roster. However, all the players will play under the banner of their country in the 14th World Esports Championship 2022. It will be exciting to see which team triumphs and wins the prestigious title.
