India has qualified for Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), Tekken 7, and eFootball in the World Esports Championship 2022.

Indian Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), Tekken 7, and eFootball teams have qualified for the World Esports Championship 2022. The teams will now move forward to the group stage of the championship and compete for a slot in the Finals.

International Esports Federation’s (IESF) 14th World Esports Championship will start on 1st December and end on 14th December. It is set to take place in Bali, Indonesia. The championship features six different game titles and players from more than 120 countries. The championship will feature an overall prize pool of $500,000 USD (INR 4,08,34,975).

Following are the six titles to be played at the 14th World Esports Championship:

  • CS:GO

  • Tekken 7

  • eFootball

  • Dota 2

  • PUBG Mobile

  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will be featured in the World Esports Championship for the first time.

Indian teams qualify for three titles at the World Esports Championship 2022

CS:GO

Team India is one of the 32 teams qualified for CS:GO. Team India has acquired a slot in Group C of the championship and will compete against Tajikistan, Chile, and IESF's teams in the group stage.

The matches will be played in a best-of-one (Bo1) format, and two teams from each group in the Group Stage will qualify for the Playoffs.

Tekken 7

Hitesh “Rcool” Khorwal will represent India in Tekken 7 at the 14th World Esports Championship. Rcool has acquired a spot in Group E and will fight against Pakistan, Bahamas, Venezuela, and Palestine.

Tekken 7 Group A - H

Note: The image shows the USA as the fifth team in Group E. It is an error. The fifth team is Palestine.

The matches will be played in a best-of-one format, and the top two players from each group will qualify for the Playoffs stage.

eFootball

Hemanth “Peshemak7” Kommu will represent India in eFootball at the 14th World Esports Championship. He has acquired a spot in Group P and will fight against Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Guinea.
