Work Auster Force officially announces the departure of its sixth player Thom “Moht” Bernardo through a social media post on 25 June 2021. Moht is known for his impressive roaming capabilities with his comfort heroes Chou, Pharsa, and Selena. Work Auster Force, along with Moht recently participated in the MPL PH Season 7 where they dominated the main qualifiers without a single loss. However, their debut season was cut short by Bren Esports in the Playoffs. The reason for Moht’s departure from the team has yet to be announced and it is still unknown which team he will compete with at future tournaments.

Moht Departs from Work Auster Force After Only One Season

The announcement of Moht’s departure follows recent reports of Work Auster Force hinting at a potential partnership with one of the biggest esports organizations in the Philippines, TNC. This is in response to MPL PH Season 8’s rumored transition to a franchise-based model. Neither Work Auster Force nor TNC has made any official statements regarding the partnership.

The rumored franchise model for the upcoming MPL PH Season 8 will allow up to eight organizations to pay a one-time fee to secure a slot in the upcoming tournament. This will remove the qualifier stage and the bottom two teams from the tournament will no longer be eliminated.

Moht is one of the players behind the team’s success during the MPL PH Season 7 main qualifiers. However, despite his impressive plays during the qualifiers, Moht never participated in any of the matches during the group stage and playoffs.

With Moht leaving the organization, the remaining members are Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico, Daniel “Chuuu” Chu, Patrick “rTzy” Ibarra, Clarense “Kousei” Camilo, Dylan “Unravel” Catipon, and coach Laurence “Lift” Ruiz.

With the MPL PH Season 8 approaching, a lot of teams have started revamping their team rosters while other teams have joined forces with other organizations. Recently, Nexplay Esports announced their partnership with Indonesian Organization EVOS Esports to form Nexplay EVOS. Execration also released their entire MLBB roster and is looking for a new organization to take their players. Needless to say, we are bound to see new teams and players emerging in the upcoming tournament.
