The full details for the first League of Legends: Wild Rift tournament circuit in Brazil, Wild Tour, have been announced. The Wild Tour esports circuit boasts a prize pool of BRL 250,000 ($50,200 USD) and will kick off with the open qualifiers taking place between August and September 2021, leading to the grand finals which will be held in Sao Paulo Studios, Brazil on 8th-10th Oct 2021. The crowned champions of the national tournament will also represent Brazil in the upcoming Wild Rift World Cup. Wild Tour Open Qualifiers Details

The tournament will start with four open qualifiers and will be carried out by Gamers Club, one of the largest esports platforms in Brazil. Matches will be held in a BO3 format while the final matches in each qualifier will be held in a BO5 format. The qualifiers will have a total of 256 matches and will be held on the following dates;

  • First Qualifier: 11th,12th,14th, and 15th August (Teams who registered from 9th July until 11th August)

  • Second Qualifier: 25th, 26th, and 29th August (Teams who registered from 15th August until 25th August)

  • Third Qualifier: 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th September (Teams who registered from 29th August until 8th September)

  • Fourth Qualifier: 22nd, 23rd, and 26th September (Teams who registered from 12th September until 22nd September)

Additionally, each qualifier stage will have a prize pool of BRL 20,000 ($3,800 USD). The prize money will be distributed among the top four teams in each qualifier stage. The top eight teams with the highest scores in the qualifier stage will advance to the finals.

Wild Tour Finals Details

In the final stage, the matches will be held in person at Riot Games Studios, in São Paulo, Brazil, between 8th and 10th October 2021. However, to ensure the safety of everyone, the event will only feature the team members and tournament staff, due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19.

The quarter-final matches will be played in BO3 format, while the semi-finals will have a BO5 format. The grand finals of the Wild Tour will be held in a BO5 format where the champions of the tournament will go home with a lion’s share of the BRL 170,000 ($32,320 USD) prize pool along with securing a spot in the Wild Rift World Cup.

Where to Watch Wild Tour

The Quarter Finals will be broadcasted live exclusively on Riot Game’s official Nimo TV channel. The semi finals and grand final will be broadcasted live on the official YouTube, Twitch, and Nimo TV channels.

Wild Rift’s esports scene has already started its first national championships in Brazil, even while it’s still officially in its open beta phase. It will be interesting to see who will dominate the Brazillian esports scene and make their way to the upcoming Wild Rift World Cup.
