Riot Games hosted Symphony of Light orchestral music
As part of Riot Games’ first massive crossover campaign, the Sentinels of Light, orchestral music was released featuring a unique rendition of the Sentinels of Light soundtrack using various traditional instruments from regions such as Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
The Symphony of Light was hosted on 31st July 2021 and marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Sentinels of Light event where the Sentinels gather up all their strengths to face one of the biggest anomalies that Runeterra has ever faced, the Ruined King.
This musical experience will serve as a tribute to the diverse and passionate SEA gaming community that supported Riot Games through their popular game titles such as Valorant, League of Legends PC, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, and the most recently released mobile MOBA title, Wild Rift.
The music starts off with a gentle melody that signals the preparation for an upcoming battle. The tone rises soon enough, drums exploding the gentle melody, invoking the adrenaline rush of war and the glory of fighting for what you believe is right. The Symphony of Light then calms down in the end, invoking a feeling of relief that no matter how much the darkness consumes, the light will always shine through as the dawn breaks.
A few influencers also received a small gift from Riot Games allowing them to participate in the Symphony of Light with custom Sentinels of Light-themed kalimbas.
The war to fend off the Ruination is far from over. The Sentinels of Light crossover event is currently underway and is nearing its final chapter. Fans can definitely expect more surprises from Riot Games in the upcoming weeks as the event progresses.
