One of the biggest events in Wild Rift, the Sentinels of Light, has been released in the game and will last until 10th Aug 2021. The event immerses players in the adventures of the Sentinels as they fight against the dark forces of the Ruined King. The Sentinels of Light event in Wild Rift offers a ton of in-game loots such as blue motes, poro energy, Baubles, profile icons, avatar borders, and the grand prize, a champion select chest that allows players to unlock one of the six sentinel champions. The Sentinels of Light event in Wild Rift also marks the debut of two new champions, Lucian and Senna, in the game.
Sentinels of Light Event in Wild Rift Details
The event is unique compared to the previously released major events in the game as it will be quite interactive and lets players immerse themselves in the lore of the game. Players will need to upgrade the level of the Sentinel HQ by increasing their Sentinel Bonds through playing the matches of any game mode. Reaching a high enough Sentinel Bond will also unlock various emotes for players to collect.
By increasing the level of the Sentinel HQ, players can acquire generous rewards like baubles, spawn tags, avatar borders, and a champion select chest that allows players to unlock one of the six sentinel champions. You’ll also be able to unlock each of the character’s backstory the more you progress in the event.
Gaining Sentinel XP
Each task you complete below will raise the XP of the corresponding champions in the Sentinels of Light event interface;
It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, as long as you finish the match and are able to accomplish the tasks provided.
Event Rewards
Here are the rewards that can be acquired as the Sentinel HQ Level increases;
Increasing your Sentinels HQ’s level will also contribute to the Charity Drive Pool of Riot Games’ Social Impact Fund. The company pledged that it will donate up to $4 million USD as players complete challenges in Legends of Runeterra, Wild Rift, and Teamfight Tactics.
A new champion named Akshan will also be released in Wild Rift on 27th July 2021. The new champion is expected to be released across four of Riot Game’s popular titles. More details will be revealed at a later date.
