Wild Rift Reveals the Sentinels of Light Event Through a VR 180 Video Teaser
Riot Games has revealed a teaser for their major crossover event in League of Legends: Wild Rift called "Sentinels of Light" through a VR180 Video titled “Ruination: The End Begins.” The teaser makes use of the VR180 video format that allows viewers to rotate their perspective up to 180° to deliver an immersive experience. The video tells the story of the Ruined King and how the Black Mist they called “Ruination” came to be. This video is a must-watch for fans who are not familiar with the lore of Wild Rift as it also introduces the two upcoming characters, Lucian and Senna.

To welcome the upcoming crossover event “Sentinels of Light” in Wild Rift, a teaser has been posted on the official social media handles, giving fans a glimpse of the lore behind the major event.
The teaser is a VR180 video and is best viewed on mobile devices or VR headsets.
In the in-game lore, the Ruination is a catastrophic event brought by the Ruined King, who tried to resurrect her dead queen in the Blessed Isles, the purest and holy land in Runeterra. However, the result was not as expected and caused a chain of unfortunate events which corrupted the island as well as the king, delivering death and corruption to anyone who gets in his way.
It is now up to the Sentinels to take down the Ruined King and stop the impending corruption that the Ruination has brought in the land of Runeterra.
Wild Rift: Sentinels of the Light Event
Riot Games' major crossover event is expected to arrive in Wild Rift on 9th July, 2021, along with the release of two new champions Senna and Lucian. More details regarding the event are yet to be revealed. However, various leaks have been spreading in the Wild Rift community, revealing what players can expect in the upcoming crossover event. Aside from the two new champions, various Sentinel-themed skins for Vayne, Irelia, and Riven will also be released in Wild Rift.
The Ruination is hinted to conquer Riot Games' popular video game titles such as Legends of Runeterra, Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, League of Legends, and Wild Rift. Fans can look forward to a lot of new things coming in Wild Rift in the upcoming Sentinels of Light event.
