New content for the upcoming Wild Rift Patch 4.2 has been revealed. A new feature shall be added where players can increase the game’s frame rate. The feature was previously made available on selected devices. With the upcoming update, this option will be added for all mobile phones. However, the frame rate will still depend on whether the device supports it or not. This means it will not work if the phone can only handle 30 to 60 Frames Per Second (FPS). Riot Games also unveiled a new promotional event for the Arcade skin line. The event allows players to acquire all the currently released Arcade skins and accessories in Wild Rift.
How to activate High Framerate Mode in Wild Rift?
The High Frame Rate mode is set to be released during the Wild Rift Patch 4.2 update. The update is set to arrive sometime in May. Riot Games is yet to unveil the exact release date of the High Frame Rate Mode in Wild Rift.
For now, only a select number of devices can access this feature. Mobile devices such as the ROG Phone are likely to have this feature.
Here are step-by-step instructions on how to activate High Frame Rate Mode in Wild Rift;
Tap on the cog icon in the upper right screen of the main menu.
Tap on the “Graphics” tab and find the frame rate option.
Select the frame rate you wish to set (30, 40, 60, 90, or 120 FPS). Take note that the 90 and 120 FPS options will be made available in Wild Rift Patch 4.2.
If your device supports the selected frame rate, your game should feel smoother the higher the frame rate you set.
If you are looking to test if your phone can handle High Frame Rate Mode before the update arrives, here is how you can play Wild Rift in 90 or 120 FPS.
In recent years, technology has advanced greatly. Flagship phones can already handle high refresh rates, enabling their users to play mobile games quite fluidly. High-end phones can reach 120 FPS and beyond, but the majority of low-end phones can only handle 60 to 90 FPS.
