Riot Games finally revealed the release date for the major upcoming patch cycle through its official social media handles. The Wild Rift patch 2.5 update has been delayed for two days due to unforeseen challenges. Ben “Draggles” Forbes, the communications lead at Riot Games revealed that this was due to Hurricane Ida. Fans can look forward to the Wild Rift patch 2.5 preview to be revealed on 11th Oct 2021 which shows a sneak peek at what they can expect in the upcoming patch update.

It’s been a while since WR has received some major content in-game. Fans are eagerly awaiting the next major patch update which will bring with it a host of new content for the players.
The long wait is finally over as Riot Games announced the release date of the upcoming Wild Rift patch 2.5 update. According to the official announcement, the LoL (League of Legends) WR’s Patch Preview, which was previously named as Dev Diary, will be posted on 11th October at 07:00 PDT. Players can check out the exciting new content for the upcoming patch cycle.
On 14th Oct 2021 at approximately 15:00 PDT, the Wild Rift patch 2.5 update will finally make its way to all servers and can be downloaded after a brief maintenance.
What we can expect in the upcoming Wild Rift Patch 2.5 update
According to data miners, three new champions may be arriving in LoL WR soon. The data miner revealed a screenshot of in-game assets for Caitlyn, Jayce, and Veigar. However, Caitlyn’s splash art received slight revisions.
Riot Games is yet to officially confirm this information about the champions so it should be taken with a grain of salt. Fans will have to wait for the upcoming patch preview to know more about the upcoming champions in WR.
