Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021: Teams, Schedule, Format, Where to Watch

The Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021 is drawing close and is expected to kick off on 24th Sept 2021. The Origin Series is the first official Wild Rift tournament circuit for Europe, Middle East and North Africa, CIS, and Turkey. The Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021 will be held offline in the city of Stockholm, Sweden. Six teams will be competing for the lion’s share of the $352,000 USD prize pool. The crowned champions of the Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021 will earn a slot in the upcoming Wild Rift World Championship 2021 which will be held later this year.

Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021 details

The tournament was first announced on 20th May 2021 and featured regional qualifiers. With the top six teams armed and ready to fight, they will now proceed to the upcoming championship and compete for the honor of representing their region in the upcoming Wild Rift World Championship 2021.

Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021 schedule and format

The tournament will have three stages; group stage, knockout stage, and the grand finals.

Group Stage

The group stage will kick off on 24th Sept 2021. The six teams will be equally divided into two groups and will compete in a BO1 double round robin format. The top two teams for each group will proceed to the knockout stage.

Knockout Stage

The knockout stage for the Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021 will be held on 25th Sept 2021. The four remaining teams from the group stage will compete in a BO5 single-elimination bracket heading to the semifinals. The top two teams will proceed to the grand finals.

Finals

The remaining two teams will settle the score in a BO7 format on 26th Sept 2021. The crowned champions will earn a spot in the upcoming Wild Rift World Championship 2021 and the lion’s share of the $352,000 USD prize pool.
