The Wild Rift Icons Global Championships 2022 will kick off on 14th June.
The tournament will feature 24 teams from around the world competing for the lion's share of the $2 million USD prize pool and the first ever Wild Rift world championship title.
The tournament will be held at a physical location at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Center in Singapore.

The upcoming Wild Rift Icons Global Championships 2022 will kick off on 14th June. The pinnacle of League of Legends: Wild Rift competitions is set to be held at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Center in Singapore. The venue was supposed to be held in Madrid, Spain. However, the location was changed to Singapore due to COVID travel restrictions. The upcoming world series event will feature 24 teams from around the world competing for the lion’s share of the $2 million USD prize pool and the title of world champion. Eight of the participating teams will be heading straight to the group stage while the 16 other teams will be heading to the Play-ins.

Tournament Format and Schedule

Play-ins (14th - 18th June)

The 16 teams who qualified for the Play-ins shall be divided into four groups of four teams. The top eight teams will proceed to the Group Stage.

Group Stage (21st - 25th June)

The top teams from the Play-ins will join the regional champions who got seeded directly to the Group Stage. The 16 teams shall be divided into four groups of four teams.

Knockout Stage (1st - 9th July)

The Quarterfinals and Semifinals matches shall be played in a single elimination BO5 format. The grand finals will be played in a BO7 format where the winner takes the first world champion title.
