Wild Rift Champions SEA (WCS) 2022 - Philippines Group Stage Teams Revealed
The stage is set for the upcoming League of Legends: Wild Rift Champions Southeast Asia (WCS) 2022 - Philippines group stage. The top six teams from the qualifiers will join the two directly invited teams - Team Secret and FENNEL Adversity in the group stage to compete for the lion’s share of the $160,000 USD prize pool and the privilege to participate in the regional championship. The WCS 2022 - Philippines group stage will officially kick off on 25th Feb and will last until 27th March. The top six teams from the group stage will then proceed to the playoffs stage where the victor will be decided.
WCS 2022 - Philippines group stage details
The WCS 2022 - Philippines is the official tournament circuit for Wild Rift. The top teams will proceed to the WCS 2022 regional championship to compete for a spot in the prestigious Wild Rift Icons Global Championship 2022. The tournament organizer, the Philippines Pro Gaming League (PPGL) is yet to announce how many teams will be able to qualify for the regional championship.
The highly anticipated group stage is finally set to kick off soon. All tournament matches in the group stage will be held in a BO3 double round-robin format. Earning enough points to reach the top two in the leaderboard will allow teams to proceed to the second round of the playoffs stage. The other four teams will compete in the first round of the playoffs stage.

The tournament will be streamed live on the official Facebook page of PPGL. Last year, Team Secret earned the right to represent the Philippines in the Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021. The team achieved a solid 3rd-4th place finish in the tournament after being eliminated by the Chinese team, Da Kun Gaming in the semifinals.
Given the popularity of Wild Rift in the Philippines leading to its subsequent growth in the region, the stakes are high for Team Secret as it competes for another chance to participate in the world championship. Fans will have to tune in to find out who will represent the Philippines in the upcoming regional championship.
