Pokémon UNITE is introducing its very first Steel/Dragon type Pokémon Duraludon into the game. Duraludon is a Generation VIII Pokémon introduced during the franchise's Sword and Shield era in June 2019. Duraludon will join the UNITE roster on Monday, 14th March 2022 as an Attacker and the game's 33rd character. The Alloy Pokémon will join Hoopa (Supporter) and Aegislash (All-Rounder) as the last of the three Mythical Pokémon hinted at in January 2022. The Pokémon Company first showed a glimpse of him during their ‘Pokémon Presents’ broadcast on February 27th, 2022. The developer dropped a teaser on Twitter for Duraludon’s moveset, UNITE move and his goal-scoring animation today.
The teaser for Duraludon shows what seems like an ability to stun opponents, damage them in a region in front of him, and a powerful AOE UNITE move. While his stats are currently unknown, Duraludon will likely have high offensive stats and low HP like other Attackers. His UNITE License cost is currently unknown but will probably be 10,000 Aeos Coins like other recently released Pokémon. As with previously released Pokemon, Duraludon will likely see a release on Monday, 14th March at 4:00 PM PST / 8:00 AM SGT (next day).
Duraludon joins UNITE just in time for Pokémon Day
In addition to the new Mythical Pokémon, the game has added a “full-fury battle” mode and made the entire Pokémon UNITE roster free on the occasion of Pokémon Day. These features will be available on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays throughout the Pokémon Day event. Pokémon UNITE will also be granting players special log-in bonuses from 24th February to 11th April. Players who complete all the special missions will also be able to obtain Hoopa's Unite license for free and lastly, all players who log-in during Pokémon Day will be receiving commemorative trainer items.
