Riot Games announced the development of Valorant mobile in June 2021.
Since then reports of a playtest being conducted in China have surfaced.

After months of speculation and rumours, Riot Games announced it was bringing its popular first-person tactical shooter to Mobile during the PC game’s first anniversary in June 2021. Since Valorant’s release, it has garnered a huge casual and competitive playerbase and Riot expects to translate this success to the mobile space. Here is everything we currently know about when Valorant mobile and its likely release date.

Do we have a release date for Valorant mobile?

Unfortunately, we do not have an exact release date for Valorant mobile. However, Riot Games has reportedly began beta testing the game in China in April 2022. Valorant leaker DannyINTEL posted a number of screenshots on Twitter indicating that Valorant mobile was in the testing stages for China. According to the screenshots, the mobile version of Valorant will likely feature a number of agents from the PC game including Jett, Breach, Phoenix, Sova, Reyna and Killjoy and similar game play. It is currently unclear how many agents will be making their way to the mobile version of the game at the time of release. Other images showed the Valorant mobile UI (User Interface).

Earlier in September of this year, Danny also posted screenshots of a Valorant Mobile playtest.

Unfortunately, the players currently able to access Valorant Mobile are under NDAs (Non Disclosure Agreements). 


The mobile gaming scene has gained tremendous traction in the past few years with a number of game publishers looking to enter the space and bring their flagship IPs to the massive market. The success of mobile shooters has been unprecedented with battle royales like PUBG Mobile and Garena Free Fire garnering millions of players worldwide. With the release of Valorant mobile, Riot is looking to capitalize on the runaway success of its PC counterpart. According to Active Player, more than 23 million players played Valorant in the last 30 days. The developer has has already ventured into the mobile space with League of Legends: Wild Rift in October 2020.
