Call of Duty: Warzone players are in for a double treat this year as the game is not only getting a huge update in the form of Warzone 2.0 but the game is also set to launch on mobile. Warzone Mobile is set to be revealed on 15th September and Call of Duty fans should get a release date later this week when the livestream happens. There are leaks pointing towards a release later this year but there is no official confirmation. Here is everything we know about the game so far.
What to expect from the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile livestream
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is set to bring the popular battle royale title from PC and console to mobile players. With the launch of Apex Legends Mobile, the mobile battle royale space has gotten a lot more competitive and Warzone is the newest entry into the space from a AAA developer.
Fortnite, Free Fire, and PUBG Mobile have been dominating the mobile battle royale market for years and the introduction of newer titles has shaken things up. Warzone Mobile is expected to have 120 player lobbies and “shared progression.”
It is currently unknown what shared progression means for Warzone Mobile but it is likely to be cosmetic only. Warzone Mobile is being built from the ground up as a standalone title with the same mechanics as Warzone but tuned for the mobile audience. It is possible that all cosmetic unlocks in the console or PC version of the game will carry over to mobile devices as well.
Warzone Mobile will be a separate experience from Call of Duty Mobile, which is a popular mobile esports title that has been around since 2019. Call of Duty Mobile also has a battle royale mode but it features 100 players instead of 120.
Warzone Mobile Release Date
The official release date is likely to be revealed on 15th September. However, fans are speculating that the release of Warzone Mobile will coincide with Warzone 2.0’s rumored release date which is 16th November.
