Virtus.pro announced its venture into the Wild Rift esports scene with its VP.Prodigy division

According to a blog post from the official website of the organization, the team will be playing under the VP.Prodigy banner for the time being. The organization is open to the possibility of moving its Wild Rift team to the main division, Virtus.pro.

The team is composed of the following members;

  • Rustam “Valhalla” Bolurov (Team captain) - Baron Lane

  • Aleksei “Dante” Sorokin - Jungle Lane

  • Kirill “BowBow” Makarychev - Mid Lane

  • Giorgi “iSector” Chichua - Mid Lane

  • Nikita “imaimagi” Systemyev - Dragon Lane

  • Arthur “SKasH” Ermolaev (coach) - Support Lane

Valhalla and Dante were former members of NAVI’s Wild Rift squad. However, Dante shifted to Nova Esports alongside SKasH before being acquired by Virtus.pro. NAVI is known for its championship titles in tournaments such as the Battle For The Rift - Europe (EU) and the PCS Trophy 2. Nova Esports won several local tournaments such as The Purge Wild Rift EU Series 3 and 4, Wild Series EU #3, and the Wild Rift EU Knockouts #6.

The team’s mid laner, iSector, was a former member of BK ROG Esports before he shifted to Virtus.pro. The team won the Wild Rift EU Knockouts #3.

Not much is known about BowBow and imaimagi. However, the two pro players will be looking to prove themselves in future tournaments under the VP.Prodigy banner.

For now, the team will have to test its mettle in the upcoming Wild Rift EMEA Championship 2021 Season 1 in hopes of earning a spot in the upcoming global championship and the right to be promoted to the pro division of the organization.
