The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports scene in the Philippines (PH) has come a long way since its first official league was introduced back in 2018. A lot of pro players have contributed to the continued growth of the esports ecosystem with some talents cementing themselves as some of the most iconic players who shaped the competitive scene in the region. Three of these iconic personalities have been featured in Esquire Magazine’s article as the 100 most powerful and influential people in the Philippines. These pro players are still active in the competitive scene and are still contributing to MLBB’s seemingly unstoppable rise in popularity.

Setsuna “Dogie” Ignacio (also known as Batute) is more than just a pro player. He is also one of the most popular streamers and content creators in the Philippines. In the early days of MLBB esports, his team Aether Main, was able to claim the first Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 1 and the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2018 championship title. To this day, Dogie remains one of the most vocal personalities in the MLBB esports scene in the Philippines and has continued to hype up the game with his antics.
