The legendary BloodThirstyKings (BTK) squad is making a triumphant comeback for the highly anticipated Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023. Michael "MobaZane" Cosgun, the team's leader, recently announced that two original members from their M3 World Championship lineup will be rejoining them for this mid-season event. In a series of livestreams, it was revealed that the team had reached out to Moonton to address their roster change predicament caused by the North America Challenger Tournaments (NACT) Spring 2023 rule. Fortunately, the issue was resolved, granting BTK permission to modify its roster by adding new members.
Legendary BTK Veterans Reunite for MSC 2023
During a livestream, MobaZane shared exciting news as he revealed that his esteemed comrades and former teammates, Victor (a.k.a. Carti) and Ian "FwydChickn" Hohl, would embark on the thrilling MSC 2023 journey alongside him.
“I have good news! Chickn and Carti are going to MSC. BTK boys are back,” said MobaZane.
During a separate livestream, FwydChickn provided further details, stating that in addition to the original members, there will be substitute players accompanying them on the journey.
“Me, Zane, Carti, Yato, TEA, Yoona[qt], [Joy]Boj,” explained the North American (NA) pro player. “Theo will have to come if Yato can’t come.”
He followed up by mentioning that if Yato cannot make it, Theo will join the team instead. Furthermore, BTK's Filipino player, ISO, will also be part of the squad for MSC 2023.
BTK’s roster change issue finally resolved
FwydChickn also addressed the issue of BTK facing restrictions in changing their roster due to a rule in NACT 2023. He explained that the matter was brought up with Moonton, the publisher of Mobile Legends, and as a result, the team was granted permission to make roster changes specifically for MSC 2023.
“BTK is not out of MSC, we just talked to Moonton this morning… Honestly, we weren’t thinking we were gonna go either, like a few days ago. But after talking to Moonton, the last day or so, they were pretty stuck up in terms of changing the roster but we’re basically fine now,” he explained.
