Upthrust Esports recently organized the second season of the BGMI practice tournament BGMI Pro Scrims Season 2 - The Ultimate Arena.
32 of the best BGMI teams from across the country had been invited to compete in this tournament and TSM successfully defended its throne.
The tournament did not follow the usual Battle Royale game mode and instead chose to focus on 1v1 matches between teams.

The speculated date of arrival for BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) has passed once again and sadly there is no good news to offer, as the Indian gaming community awaits the return of its beloved mobile battle royale.

To keep the professional players active and provide them with intense practice sessions, Upthrust Esports organized another set of practice tournaments, BGMI Pro Scrims Season 2 and BGMI Pro Scrims Season 2 - The Ultimate Arena.

The grand finals of the latter were played a few days back on 16th January with TSM being crowned as the champion. Team iNSANE Esports walked away as the runner-up and Nigma Galaxy claimed the third-place finish.

Upthrust Esports, one of the leading mobile esports tournament organizers from India, followed up on the success of its BGMI scrim tournaments by organizing another season just a month after the conclusion of its previous iteration.

While the regular battle royale event was won by Team XO, it was the newly introduced 'Ultimate Arena' game mode that has sparked a lot of interest in the mobile gaming community across the country.

With talented players from across the country showing their skills in this team-based 1v1 game mode, fans are excited to see how their favorite players perform against some of the best.

The entire tournament was divided into four stages - Qualifiers, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Grand Finals, which took place from 10th to 16th January with 32 directly invited teams competing in it.

It featured a mixed single-elimination format where the Qualifiers and Semi-Finals followed a best-of-three series whereas the Quarter-Finals and Grand Finals hosted a best-of-five series.

TSM defeated Hyderabad Hydras, Team VST, Team XSpark, Team SouL, and Team iNSANE Esports and claimed the championship for the second time in a row, successfully defending its throne.

This was an exciting event even though some teams were not playing with their permanent lineups, using substitutes as players might not have been available, or they could even be trying out certain players with future goals and signings in mind.
