TSM FTX is wasting no time in jumping into Apex Legends Mobile’s esports scene. The team just signed Alexandre “Sonho” Luis Mostovoi, who is a mobile esports pro known for winning multiple mobile esports championships across multiple titles. He also became the first player to reach the rank of Apex Predator in Respawn Entertainment’s new mobile battle royale. Sonho will be competing in Apex Legends Mobile events and will also be creating content for TSM.

TSM wants to become a dominant force in Apex Legends across all platforms

TSM has won multiple Apex Legends Global Series championships and it is widely regarded by many as the best Apex Legends team in the world. While it could not secure a win at this year’s international LAN event, the team has won six high-profile championships and has secured another three top-three finishes. The team has also expanded its content creation portfolio by expanding to Japan due to the game’s immense popularity in the country.

With Apex Legends Mobile releasing, it is yet another opportunity for the team to tap into the mobile space as well. Sonho is the perfect signing for TSM thanks to his storied career. He has competed in Rules of Survival and Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) in the past. He secured a first-place finish in the $100,000 USD duos event in Fall 2021, making his presence felt at the international stage.

Prior to signing with TSM, the player created content for Team Singularity and played Dead by Daylight Mobile and CODM (Call of Duty Mobile). It is interesting to see that TSM is banking on Apex Legends Mobile to grow as an esport in the future. It has been just over a week since the game’s release and it has already grown to be a popular title. The game saw over 15 million players pre-register and it became the most downloaded game on the App Store in 60 countries after launch.

Respawn Entertainment is yet to announce any plans for developing an esports ecosystem for the game but TSM seems optimistic about the game’s future. The team is yet to sign its other two players who will be competing in Apex Legends events.
