TNC Pro Team Releases Light, P-God and ImbaDeejay From Its Mobile Legends Roster
After a lackluster performance in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 8, TNC Pro Team released three of its pro players Patrick "P-GOD" Grecia, Dylan "Light" Catipon, and Douglas "ImbaDeejay" Astibe. The big announcement was revealed through a post on the official social media handles of TNC Pro Team’s Mobile Legends division. The organization is yet to reveal the reason for the departure of the three pro players. TNC Pro Team’s Mobile Legends team finished at 8th place in the recently concluded MPL PH Season 8 with only four wins before the team got eliminated in the regular season.
Light, P-God, and Imbadeejay depart from TNC Pro Team’s Mobile Legends team
One of the new contenders of the MPL PH esports scene, TNC Pro Team, may be looking to revamp its roster for the next season. The team bid farewell to three of its pro players Light, P-God, and ImbaDeejay as announced through the team's official social media handles on 8th Nov 2021.
“We're grateful for the time you spent with TNC. We wish you the best in your future careers!” captioned TNC Pro Team.
Light and P-God were former Work Auster Force members before they were acquired by one of the more prominent esports organizations in the Philippines, TNC Pro Team. The two pro players served as the pillars of Work Auster Force which earned it the title of the dark horse team of the MPL PH Season 7.
ImbaDeejay, on the other hand, is one of the pioneers of the Mobile Legends esports scene in the Philippines and a former Cignal Ultra member before the team disbanded. The pro player served as TNC Pro Team’s Analyst during the MPL PH Season 8. He didn’t get a chance to participate in matches as the team preferred to draft the dynamic duo of Light and P-God instead.
Despite TNC Pro Team fielding talented pro players, the team only secured an 8th place finish which is the lowest rank placement for the MPL PH Season 8. The team only mustered four wins in the regular season and was eventually eliminated before reaching the playoffs stage alongside the M2 World Champions, Bren Esports, who settled in 7th place.
It will be interesting to see if TNC Pro Team’s Mobile Legends team redeems itself in the MPL PH Season 9.
